Baseball since 2000
6 College World Series appearances, two National Championships, 5 SEC championships, 3 outright conference championships, 11 NCAA tournament appearances and a brand new ALEX BOX STADIUM - SKIP BERTMAN FIELD!!!

Football since 2000
4 SEC championships, 6 SEC West championships, 13 Bowl Games (5 of which were BCS bowl games), 3 BCS National Championship Game appearances, 2 BCS National Championships, 133 victories, 37 losses, 8 bowl game victories, and 5 bowl game losses.

Men's Basketball since 2000
3 regular season conference championships, 5 NCAA Tournament appearances, 2 Sweet Sixteen appearances, 1 Elite Eight appearance, 1 Final Four appearance, and a new coach who shows extreme potential.

Women's Basketball since 2000
3 regular season conference championships, 1 conference tournament championship, 13 NCAA/AIAW Tournament appearances, 8 Sweet Sixteen appearances, 7 Elite Eight appearances, 5 Final Four appearances, and a new coach who shows great potential (and not bad to look at, either).

To put things into perspective, LSU was better than all but eight (8) of the following teams this year. We went 0-2 in Omaha, but it was against 2 of the top 8 teams listed here. THAT is one hell of an accomplishment!

It truly is a great time to be a fan of the LSU Tigers! Many teams out there would sell their souls to have a season like LSU Baseball just had. We tied for all time wins in a season and even though it hurts to end that hell of a season the way they did, it hurts the players and coaches so much more than it hurts us fans. So let us remember it is, afterall, a game and just that - a game. It's fun to play and it's fun to watch. Baseball can be wild sometimes and this year we saw that. The players were not prepared for the Omaha experience. They were inexperienced on that stage. Next year should be more succcessful.

Will we win it all next year? Who knows. Will we even make it to Omaha next year? I'd say yes but you never know. That's baseball. When you're hot, your hot. When you're not, you're not. We were hot the whole year until the CWS. It's just the way it is.

Let's pull ourselves together and be glad for the dominant season we just watched our Tigers play, watch the rest of the College World Series, pull for whoever you want to root for (I'll be rooting for Mississippi State), and get ready for the upcoming Football season!

Who's going to Dallas?

Thanks for actually posting something good about our team.

This probably won't go over well with the tards.

Yeah you should have put up basketball as well.

Still no SECT title since '81, but a Final Four is way better anyway. Also, two SEC regular season titles.

TDsngumbo...

True Tiger fan. Like to have a beer with you...

And I only see it getting better:

Football - one of best coaching staffs in the country and a Top 5 recruiting powerhouse....
100,000 fans in DV in 2014. Top 5-10 caliber....

Basketball - An LSU man recruiting tall, rangy, athletic, fast-breaking players. Many Tourney appearances in our future......

Baseball - Reload. Just need to replace Eades, Cotton, Rhymes, and Katz. Omaha still the goal...

Track, Women's Basketball, Softball, Gymnastics, Golf, etc. - will continue to dominate......

Dude...anonymous SEC football coach dropped the bomb. Programs on a steady decline.

Plus......Billy cannon won a heisman.
Shaquille oneal and jacob Hester played ball at LSU.

Unfortunately, this is a what have you done for me lately business and lately we've lost two in a row to Alabama in football (not mention how we lost) and got swept in cws with winningest team in lsu baseball history.

The enthusiasm will return, but as of June 19th I'm not feeling it.

While i thibk the team did great and is most likely better than miss st since we beat them twice, im not buying the not ready for the cws stage. We play in one of the best parks in the country in front of record crowds. They should have been ready and the coaches failed miserably to make adjustments to the park we were playing in.
