I was surprised to hear Mainieri say in a post-game interview that he thought the team was "too tentative" at the plate. I thought we were too aggressive and failed to constantly let the pitcher off the hook by swinging at the first pitch that came along and popping it up.

Yea definitely not what I saw but I guess thats why he is the coach and I ain't.

I think it more of tentative by not having plate discipline, ie swinging at bad pitches and breakdown of fundamentals.
