It's comical to see the 2nd guessing that goes on here. LSU has one of the best records in the history of the program but PM can't coach.

PM took a chance with a Sr. batting over .300.
RR hits that ball anywhere other than where he did and MK should be sitting on 2nd at the least.

UCLA did the little things, LSU did not.
Still it took Bregman booting an easy out (for a college SS) for UCLA to get the win. The error by Ross was a much tougher play.

It's baseball. Now LSU just has to suck it up and rebound.

Look guys. You had a man on 1st with no outs. A hitter that had a 2-0 count on him that has been hitting into a lot of double plays. He's not a good bunter. The batter is a great hitter and will make contact with the ball. UCLA MUST throw a strike. The chances are it will be a hit-able fastball. LSU does the hit and run. Rhymes hits a hard one hopper straight at the 3rd baseman who get Katz on a close play and doubles up Rhymes. If I was the Head coach, I would have done the same thing. It was just bad baseball luck. The coach made the CORRECT call. If you follow LSU closely you know it was the best choice to make to try to move the runner.

CPM is a fantastic coach. Last night we was out-coached. Try not to go to extremes with your generalizations.
