LSU has more national championships than the other teams combined... Is that a bad omen?

Toss out the first L of the two Smoke Two-and-Q teams..voila..LSU/PM's teams are 1-1.

Some stats are useless. When you're talking a span of almost ten years, that stat is useless.
Posted on 6/16/13 at 12:58 am to LSULyle00690
That is a completely irrelevant statistic.

3 games
2002 smoke coaches sloppy LSU team loss to cal state
2003 smoke coaches sloppy LSU team loss to Miami
2008 a young LSU team loses to consecutive national runner up North Carolina. Maneiri turned it around that year.
2009 LSU won every game !!
There is no relevance now to those defeats

How many losses does Nola have on the year?

You troll every fricking thread. GTF

and when LSU pitches Nola we have only lost one game.
I'll say this records are records they are fun to talk about, but when it comes down to it in the end it comes down to what happens on the field. LSU is better then UCLA we should win.
but let us review those last 4 times
2009 LSU beat Virignia (won the naitonal championship that year we were better then UV
2008 LSU lost to UNC (I think they were the best that year)
2004 LSU lost to miami (#3 national seed)
2003 LSU lost to CSF (LSU was higher ranked but CSF was #7 national seed)
now lets talk before those years
2000 LSU beat texas (texas wasn't a national seed)
1998 LSU beat USC (the eventual national champion)
1997 LSU beat Rice (was a national seed)
1996 LSU beat Wichita State (I think a national seed
1994 LSU lost to FSU (had the best record coming into omaha, LSU went two and BBQ that year)
1993 LSU beat LBSU (LBSU won three straight games after loosing the if necessary game to LSU)
1991 LSU beat Florida
1990 LSU beat The citadel (Stoney brook of the 90s)
1989 LSU lost to Miami (Miami was always a strong team back than)
1987 LSU beat FSU (FSU had 54 wins coming into the CWS)
1986 LSU lost to Loyola Marymount (LSU's first appearnce in omaha, same with LMU)
so LSU in opening round games is
9-6 a .600 winning percentage in opening rounds.
if you take out that 1-3 mark
LSU is 8-3
out of those 6 losses only 2 teams were not as good as LSU, 4 of those times the team we played was better than us.
LSU is maybe the best team in omaha right now.
the game on the field will determine this not how we have faired in the past.

congratulations on pissing off the baseball fans. you should have said that lsu has never lost an opening game in omaha, then they would agree with you and love you.
