Question about general admission ticket.

It says on the CWS website only the first 5,500 fans can enter the stadium. Do these games always fill up? How long before the game should we get into line?
Any other tips? Just trying to assure we all get into the game.

LSU games? Yes.

To be safe, I would check the line at 3 hours prior.

Was there last year for the new stadium, was told that it's possible to wait in line for up to 2 hours in line and then not get in with GA tickets.
Then again, Les Miles walked in at around the 5th inning for the championship game.

Wow, that's nuts. What is the seating capacity for the stadium? Honestly, I am astonished how this is not managed better. UCLA will not bring but a few thousand fans at best. How is it possible that fans would be denied? What is their system?

Also, do you wait in line until the previous game ends and then they start issuing tickets one by one or do you have to purchase them first and then get in line?

Really couldn't tell you as I didn't actually go to the games. Had free GA tickets, but I didn't feel like standing in line to go watch 1 of the 3 SEC teams we beat (one of which we swept).
Not trying to go overboard about it, but the line was pretty long when I drove by. Might want to bring a cooler or whatever.

Prepare to stand in line for a while when LSU's playing. But once you get in those are the party seats.

You buy a book of General Admission tickets before you get in line(8 or 10 tickets in a book). You can use them how you want. All of them for one game, or just 1 for a single game. The line for the second game will start to form before or during the first game.

Remember, though, you're not guaranteed to get in.

The stadium can expand to 35k in capacity. For the finals, there should be plenty of tickets available.

I understand, and greatly value your input. I am going with some others and we are all going for the first time. The buying of these is vastly different than anything we have seen previously.

What time do you think would be best to get there 4pm?
Another question how likely is it to upgrade or do those lines get long too.

4th trip to CWS, and did GA ever time. LSU games are bad for GA. if you go for 4 you will probably not make it. gates open at 5. i wouldn't recemend this if you have small kids that don't like to wait.

assuming it's the same as at rosenblatt, you can get inline early that day and upgrade GA tix to reserved seats as long as they are available.

So what time is best to get there?
Posted on 6/13/13 at 7:41 am to LSUTygerFan
unless you have reserved seats, every thing is waiting in line. upgrades are limited and the box office may open around 9 or 10. people go before daylight to wait in that line.

this is what i did in 08. didn't seem so bad. one day i actually ran into someone selling their tix. bought em and was back at the hotel before the family woke up.

so what time should I get there to get a seat in the outfield.
another thing do I have a chance to buy a seat outside of the stadium.
I'm considering buying from the ticket exchange but its way over face value.
lastly I read on the fan guide that they do a random drawing for people in line for the box office. IS this new.

i can't answer that. parking will be the issue more than that. with LSU in the late game, you better try to figure that out.
