I'm in walking distance of the stadium.

kinda thinking about getting there between 1-2 and just keep an eye on the line and hang out in the fan zone (I think they sell beer there)

lastly I read on the fan guide that they do a random drawing for people in line for the box office. IS this new.

Yes in 2009 it was first come first serve for people in that line to upgrade GA tickets for that days game. People would get there very early. Scalpers were paying people to sleep out there overnight to be at the front of the line.

i would be nice if they made it better. I have reserved ticketss for tuesday nights game and friday nights game (taking the risk LSU wins) plus I can't go to the tuesday looser braket game. So if LSU goes 2 and a bbq (which I would be shocked if this happened) the sunday night game is my one chance to go. Don't want to take any chances. This is why I'm thinking about buying a resreved tickets from ticket exchange its just to much money.

hmmm I remember reading somewhere about the 9am random drawing. So they said somewhere wish I could find it again. there is no reason to get there before 9am or something like that.

so my current options:

buy a ticket on flash tickets (prices to high now)
go early in the morning to upgrade my GA ticket (I don't want to wake up supper early to do this,)
get there early afternoon and wait in line (I'm concerned I may not get in if I do this)

I think I need to just sit on this and think this through (keeping an eye on the ticket exchange website see if I can find a cheeper ticket)

probably none

this may be my one and only shot at seeing my tigers in omaha, so I just want to make sure I make it to the game.

also about the upgrade, you have to find a place to PARK unless you are staying downtown so you can walk or somebody drops you off.

They're not GA but Final Four tickets are super easy to get at a discount versus the face value if you're not picky about location.

Will it be easy to buy GA tickets Saturday? This process is ridiculous. GA are open to any game, so, if I go Saturday and try to scalp a GA ticket, I could use this Sunday, and then hope getting there by 2 puts me in the game...

They never stop selling GA tickets. You can buy them anytime.

I guess I just don't understand this because the ticket office said they stopped selling them. ALso, they never stop selling them? How is that possible?

I decided to not take a risk and go ahead and buy a reserved seat on the ticket exchange website. Was more expensive but I will get a good seat and not have to wait in lines for hours just to make sure I get in.

You have always been able to buy books of GA from the ticket office as well as other places around town. Doesn't mean you will get in though if you don't get in line early enough.

Great decision. I've been there and done that. When you consider how much money you are paying for travel and housing, why screw around with waiting in line all day. There are plenty of reserved seats that you can buy from "ticket brokers". In 2009 I payed $50-$60 outside the stadium for good reserved seats. Don't scrimp on tickets after going to all the expense to get there! There are a lot more fun things to do than standing in line in the heat!
