If you are going through Shreveport, need to go to Longview and go north to the Indian Turnpike instead of going through Fayettevil

Where does the turnpike end?

idk who lsuDiva is ... and I'm not posting pics. Let's just say 5'4" or so and 118lbs. And most importantly a HUGE Tiger Fan!!!!

This trip isn't happening for us ... woe is me. I'm thinking if I pout enough my husband will just tell me to buy a plane ticket!

You should stop going this way. It takes so much longer than 55 through St Louis

Going that way for me adds 160 miles to the trip and about 2 hours so it doesn't make sense for me. I'm coming from Abbeville not Baton Rouge

I have made the drive 3 times round trip. Every time I took the same route. Shreveport, Texarkana, Fort Smith, Fayetteville, Kansas City to Omaha.

The drive on 71 from Shreveport to Fort Smith is TERRIBLE..Large portions are very scenic but a Son of a Gun..

You are speaking the truth, but after Fort Smith the rest of the drive is Gravy.

Best route is all interstate, up I-55 thru Memphis to st. Louis, Kansas city, Omaha. Especially at night or with RV. Have fun if you break down on the other routes.
