Thanks for the info Cliff :geauxtigers:
Also, I would rather something fairly close($20-$30 cab ride for 4 of us) if at all possible. So maybe something in the Irving area

Need help with LSU bars in Dallas

I will be staying at the Embassy suites by the Airport south and was wondering were to go for the Friday night?

I know about the Tiger Fan Jam, which I went to last year and had a blast, but will not get into town till at least 10pm unfortunately this year. I don't want to pay $20 cover charge for only half the event.

I hear J. Gilligans will have a massive tailgate party on the day of, but will they have something LSU related the night before?

Help is appreciated. Thanks & :geauxtigers:
YES WE CAN!!!
  :geauxtigers: :geauxtigers:
ALL UP IN THIS B--OTCH!!!

LSU!!...LSU!!...LSU!!...LSU!!

GEEEEAAAAAAAAUUUUUUUUUXXXXXXXXXXX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
For those of you that are negative at this moment:

Quit being a baby!!! We are Tigers, not babies. So the game didn't go our way last night. It happens, it's baseball. DO NOT GIVE UP ON OUR TEAM!! They have had a great season(that is not over yet) and do not deserve to have 1 fan give up on them, much less all of you sissies.

As someone posted in another thread, it's not ideal but we have so much depth at pitching we can come out of this. Glenn tomorrow, Eades Thursday, Nola Friday, Bonvillain on Saturday then We would have Glenn for Champ series Game 1 then Eades game 2 and Nola game 3(if necessary). Not to mention our tremendous bull pen.

We've gotten our jitters out, now it's time to hit the ball and forget the errors.

For those of you that have rustled jimmies, put your big boy pants on, strap in & Love Purple, Play Gold!! This should be one helluva ride!!!

You are speaking the truth, but after Fort Smith the rest of the drive is Gravy.

You should stop going this way. It takes so much longer than 55 through St Louis

Going that way for me adds 160 miles to the trip and about 2 hours so it doesn't make sense for me. I'm coming from Abbeville not Baton Rouge

I went in 08 for the first 3 games we played and went for the Championship in 09. 1st week is awesome cause everyone is there and Vendors are all there. However, if you go the 1st week and can't stay and LSU is in championship that would be disappointing to not be there.

That's why I'm going for Champ series only!! Fingers crossed we make it. Got 4 tix to Champ Game 1 & 2 through NCAA when the Tix went on sale April 13th!!! :geauxtigers: :geauxtigers:

I have made the drive 3 times round trip. Every time I took the same route. Shreveport, Texarkana, Fort Smith, Fayetteville, Kansas City to Omaha.

I'm leaving from Abbeville though, so it makes no sense to go through Memphis for me. From BR I would prolly do Memphis route.

Warning though: from Texarkana to Fort Smith is terrible. Slower driving cause you going up the mountain and back down(about 3 hours) and you could get stuck behind a slow driver making it worse.

But if you have a radar detector, GPS and don't mind driving fast, it takes me about 15 hours with minimal stops. After Fort Smith its easy and quick driving the rest of the way(four lane US hwy).

This year however I'm gonna try a route that's about 30miles longer but no Mountain. Shreveport to Tyler to Tulsa straight up to KC then Omaha. We'll see how that goes. I'm tired of that mountain.

Sorry... I had them both in there as DH on opposite teams and forgot to type them in. It took me a little while to compile the stats, so I figured there would be mistakes

Raph - DH Purple
Dean - DH Gold

Reading the earlier thread, I was thinking there were way too many players left out just because it was one team of just players during Mainieri era.

I kinda thought our bullpen would be and is our weakness, but after 35 games it's extremely hard to argue with the results.

Through 318 innings of work:

Starting Pitching gave up 40 earned runs

Bullpen Pitching gave up 44 earned runs

All while we scored 267 runs

Alan Dunn has done an incredible job and props to whomever was responsible for getting him here. He is a huge get for us.

My suggestions would be to get what you can and then try to move to your ideal spot through the years. Nothing wrong with starting in the Uppers, at least you will be at the games.

This is a great suggestion. If you try to wait for good seats, you'll be waiting forever. Get what you can when offered then apply for move every year.

Also, it's not 1pt per $1000, it's 2pts per $1000

So for $500 given in Jan. you get 4 phil pts total. 3 bns pts + 1 pt
