The stadium exit is the first as you enter Nebraska council bluffs on other side not even a 5 min drive.

The SAC Museum out west of Omaha is a must see for anyone who appreciates military aviation.

They have a SR-71 mounted at the entrance with it's nose pointed right at you as you enter the front door.

Need better part of a day to see it all.

Another item to get at Barrett's (besides all the booze) is the reuben. It's pretty damn solid.

Ladynbraids, TigerCoop and I are headed up Friday AM. We've got tix to the first 8 games. Staying right across the street so no need to interfere with my drinking by driving!!! My first trip to Omaha for the CWS, TigerCoop was there in 2009 so we're good to win it all!!! Getting ready for Geauxmaha!!!!

Go to Zesto's for ice cream and a burger. Went to someplace I think called Big Mama's located in old an school building. It was featured on diners, dives and drive thrus. Wasn't impressed with Omaha Prime. Maybe we had a bad night.

Just about everything that there is to do in Omaha has been mentioned.

Barrett's. Not huge, more of a neighborhood bar, but they have a lower level basement and beach volleyball. I wasn't there during the CWS but can definitely understand why it would be a great spot for LSU people. Only issue is that it's in midtown and is therefore a good bit further from TDA than Rosenblatt.

Old Market is basically the only cool/sort of unique part of town.

Midtown Cinema is part of a chain but it's actually pretty cool. Stadium seating with full service restaurant, and not too pricey.

The Joslyn Art Museum is fairly reputable if your wife is an art snob.

If you're trying to kill time before the game and are not tailgating for some bizarre reason, there's a pretty sweet looking pedestrian bridge that spans the Missouri River, and you can cross the stateline. Not far at all from the stadium.

They are pretty serious about enforcing parking meters in the area near the stadium.

The casino in Council Bluffs is a Harrah's, and everyone was right about it being so close to both the stadium and the city of Omaha. It's right on the river.

Upstream brews a couple of different beers and the ones I had were very good.

I posted earlier, thought of a couple other additions. Good food within easy driving distance - Italian, go to Malara's at 22nd and Pierce. Greek - Greek Islands on Center and about 38th. American/sports bar - Dundee Dell on Underwood and 50th. A few local festivals such as Papillion Days this weekend in Papillion (carnival, parade, pancake feed, etc - just go south on 84th and you'll run into it.) And don't forget the "Testicle Festival" in Ashland this weekend!
