Only thing worse than a troll is one who trolls involuntarily, makes retarded points constantly, and then pats himself on the back for it.

Gray is indeed a beast, big time stuff. He overmatched several of our hitters even the third time thru. Bregman even looked ordinary against him.

Great game maybe the best pitcher's dual Ive seen at the Box.

It took an all out effort from Nola and the rest of our players to beat him, including our coach making some very key moves.
That was a classic!

MLB teams learned a few days ago that Oklahoma
quote:

right-hander Jonathan Gray tested positive for the banned stimulant Adderall during the league's mandatory drug testing for the top 200 prospects in each draft class (as determined by MLB's internal scouting bureau). Because many current big leaguers use the drug after gaining therapeutic use exemptions (TUEs) from the league, Gray's test results aren't likely to significantly affect his draft stock, although there could be some subtle ripple effects

and it doesnt hurt to have a little illegal help. I'll give him Barry Bonds props.

Stuff is not everything in baseball that's like saying john rocker was better than Greg maddux simply because he threw harder. Location is much more important while pitching

Nola doesn't have the swing and miss stuff that Maddux had.

i was comparing the accuracy of the two pitchers not about swing and miss stuff.

quote:

Nola doesn't have the swing and miss breaking pitches or movement that Maddux had. invalid comparison. A better comparison for Nola would be Ian Kennedy.

agree to disagree. to say nola didnt have the hit or miss stuff last night like maddox i dont agree with. I was comparing how he pitched one game to how greg maddox pitches. Nola's game last night was the best i have seen from him. The dude was on.

quote:

You act as if Gray is one of those fireballers with no command

no i don't. Saying he needs to get better with accuracy does not mean i'm saying he throws without command. that's a faulty conclusion.

quote:

You are literally the only person who thinks that.

Just bc i dont follow the murder doesnt mean that im going to be wrong. And For what its worth, a few baseball analysts feel the same way. And still its just an opinion.

quote:

Just look at his numbers and look at how he didn't walk very many of us

that doesnt mean its going to translate to the pros. What I see from him right now he could easily be a lights out closer. But like i said if gets better with his accuracy and implements a good change-up that could easily change.

And i am by no means saying he pitched bad last night. He pitched phenomenal. He just went deep into some at bats and his pitch count got to high. Thats is one of the reasons Nola was able to out dual him.

this is just a discussion dont get so angry
