It's not Marcelo but at least he's Brazilian.

I guess Azpilicueta is moving back to RB, then?

Don't mind him when we just get stuck in and defend.

They signed what would appear to be his replacement.

Costa, Luis and Fabregas would be nice. If Courtois and Lukaku came back, those five could make a good team become a great team in a hurry.

Can only put 11 on the pitch at a time 5/11 isn't a bad start at all to an already terrific team.

I just don't understand the Luis purchase at this point unless that means Ivanovic moves to CB or a reserve role. Azpi has to play after the amazing season he had...I like Ivanovics toughness. Cahill and Terry are still solid for next year. Gives us depth, but you have to think Luis starts at LB and Azpi at RB...Ivanovic gets the short end of the stick?

F that Ivanovic has been a beast for us for years and done it on both ends of the pitch and at multiple positions.

Ivanovic has to get a good amount of PT. Dude has been so solid for years.

I'm ok with having depth though. Ivan can move to CB in the coming years as he gets older and JT begins to move out of the club.

Courtois/Cech
Ivan-Cahill-JT-Azpi
Cesc-matic
Willian-Oscar-hazard
Costa/Lukaku

Me likey

Luis is almost for sure coming (Atleti signed a new LB). If Luis and Dave replicate what they did last season, Brana wouldn't touch the pitch I'm guessing.

Seems that Lukaku wants to be handed a guaranteed starting spot so I'm not sure if this will work out.

So basically our transfer policy so far is to address areas where we already have good players?

Looks like Cech is on his way out for Courtois. Gonna miss him. He's a Chelsea legend.

But bring on Courtois!

Switch Costa for Lukaku and Luis for Ivanovic and I'm with you.

good on jose if he plays that attacking of a lineup. that said, i'd be damn shocked if Cesc got any consistent PT in that position. Matic would be on an island.

Cesc hasn't played that deep since 2008. Seriously doubt he would be played in any other position other than the number ten.

I don't really rate Costa highly, but I've just had to accept that he's going to be the starter
