Not necessarily make you cry (or does) but make you upset.

For me I have a couple.

Cats in the cradle
Hurt (cash version)
That's my job (the man himself, mr twitty)

A few other but those are the ones off the too of my head.

Good ones guys.

Cowboys and angels isn't a sad song to me. More of a "sweet/love" song. But to each its own. Might have a different meaning for you.

It sounds stupid, but when I was going through a major funk in my life. There was a song by the script that made me break down like a woman.

Something about hard times. I got my shite together since then but man, that song hit me at the wrong time like a ton of bricks. I couldn't help it. Ill look it up.

"For the first time"

I looked it up. And it still gets me. Just remembering That situation I was in. Makes me feel like a pussy but it hit home for that time of my life. So glad I go out.

When I Get Where I'm Going by Brad Paisley

quote:

I'm gonna walk with my grand daddy
And he'll match me step for step
And I'll tell him how I missed him
Every minute since he left
Then I'll hug his neck

It really hit home for me when my grandfather died suddenly a few years ago.

Yeah, that's a toughy.

quote:

Then I'll hug his neck

That line got me. When I first heard it.

Was watching Crossroads episode featuring Sting & Vince Gill earlier. That was the show closer. Very creepy !

Stupid Boy by Keith Urban is another one.

Abracadabra - Steve Miller Band

How could a band with such a great resume and catalogue of songs have this piece of crap as their last hit? And it was HUGE - it was on heavy rotation for almost a year.

I've never forgiven him for that.

Box of Rain - Dead

Reminds me of losing my buddy in high school.

It sucks, because I fricking love this song.

Long Road & Man of the Hour both of PJ

They get me every time now that my dad has passed.

They are each sad but uplifting at the end in their own way.

Also People Get Ready-Rod Stewart and Land of Hope and Dream(especiallly when Clarence goes off with the sax) Bruce Springsteen
