After spending the last 20 or so years going to games in the Box, I'm convinced our fans cheer against us in order to:

1. Have something to bitch about
2. Applaud the other team to show how we're the "Best fans in the nation!"

Applauding a good baseball play by the opposing team is as old of a baseball tradition as the game itself.
