I'm going to be completely honest with you here. I am about to not have the need for mine either. The repairs and maintenance are more expensive for a diesel but I feel it is worth it. You can really tell the difference under load. Plus for as much as they are charging for 150's now it is a better deal to buy the 250, you are getting a lot more truck (engine and space) for the money. Since they started trying to make the 150's compete in the luxury family car market the prices have really been driven up. That is why they are doing console shifters and making all the adjustments. I don't mind the aesthetic changes as much as I do the EPA making the motors less reliable.

I really do agree with you that it goes completely against the mentality of the truck and at first I wasn't crazy about it, but when we got laurens truck along with mine it made me like it a whole lot. The only problem is when I drive one for a while I always reach in the wrong spot for the shifter when I get back in the other one.

Sandpaper covered limestone seats, saw briar wrapped steering wheel, unsyncronized manual transmission with 4 extra low gears, and railroad iron arm rests.

I've had both.
The black is easier to keep clean. The tan showed every smudge or mark.

I'd been a GM guy growing up with my dad and uncles all having them on the farm, but I really like the new Fords. I'm probably still going to wait to see what the new GM looks like in person to make the final decision, but my dad just got a 2013 GMC Sierra and is already having issues with the rear camera and dash not fitting together properly so that's put a bad taste in my mouth too.

See I clean the shite out of my truck constantly so I have never had this problem. I buff the seats and everything so they always look pretty new.

My stepdad bought a 2500 denali 6-7 months ago that he has blown the bearings in twice and already had to have engine repairs. I love the way they look but they are way smaller on the inside and not worth the huge price tag in my opinion. The problems he had probably aren't very common.

I don't mind it either way. That is something that really doesn't bother me as much. I spend a lot of time inside my truck so the interior comfort aspect means a lot to me but for some reason the shifter has never bothered me.

Honestly, I do prefer the 250 interior overall. It looks more practical, but still nice.

I like it b/c your charger cords don't get all tangled up on the shifter. Room for coffee cups, etc.
The console was more what I was used to, but after having it on the column, I really like it better.
Very easy for crap to accumulate, though.

Last week my dad picked up a green gem lariat 4x4 with adobe interior and it goes very nicely with the tan trim.
