I think people acting like this was a dirty play are doing this just because it's Ole Miss. What was the catcher really supposed to do? The more and more I see this the more and more it really looks like the catcher was simply trying to make a play by going where the ball went and at the last second couldnt make a play so he had a natural reaction of raising his arm up to try and protect himself. What else is he supposed to do with tenths of a second to react once he realized he couldnt grab the ball with Rhymes coming in full speed?

It's a pretty natural reaction to stick your arm out if you realize something is coming at you. I mean did people really expect him to just get barreled over without protecting himself at all?

On first glance for me, it didn't look dirty. On repeated viewings, it didn't look dirty.

It just looked like some shite that sometimes happens in a baseball game.

I saw it live from behind third base and thought it was unnecessary. Especially when I saw the replay and the catcher lifted Rhymes. Say what you will, but it was unavoidable. I liked how Rhymes showed total class and just touched home plate and got up and celebrated with his teammates.
