Best two players I've seen at the Combine today have been Steven Adams and Rudy Gobert. Both helping themselves a lot here

Gobert is one of those guys that has been all over the place.
I think he shoots ahead of Len. Easily.

People have liked him for a while now, but it's hard to get a handle on Euro guys until you see them in person.
Doing OK at the combine would have helped him. This looks to catapult him into the top 10, given the shite nature of this draft and the premium on big men.

If he continues this and does well in pre-draft workouts...he could go anywhere.
If McLemore, Noel, Porter, Burke go in the top 4 and we are picking 5-8, it would be really interesting to pair him with Davis.
Two insanely long guys with very good defensive potential. Gobert allegedly has the frame to add a lot more weight as well.
C and PF building blocks for the future...pair them up with a PG that can get into the paint and create, and 2 more 3 point shooters...interesting.

They are praising McCollum and Larkin on the telecast.
The whispers of these guys to the Pels will start any minute now

One of the bonuses to Gobert?
Per NBADraft.net, his length makes him hard to guard on the pick and roll, making it easy to get his defender out of position.
If the idea is that we're going to run that as the primary offense, putting Gobert and Davis together with some outside shooters could get fun, no matter who our point is.

I would not oppose this.

How did Gobert do in the agility drills?

It really makes for some interesting lineups. Bring in Martell Webster as another 3 point shooter to add to the floor spacing.
? Vasquez/Rivers
Gordon
Webster/?/Ryan Anderson
Davis/Ryan Anderson/Smith
Gobert/Lopez/Smith
(Lopez would almost certainly start.)
That brings up a lot of roster possibilities. Having Gordon run Point for a stretch with Webster and Anderson floor spacing and Gobert and Davis in the middle, rolling to the basket. Gobert and Davis is a really intriguing pair to me, even more so than Noel, because it looks like Gobert will be able to put on weight...I'm not sure Noel can.
Am I the only crazy bastard that says just roll with Rivers at PG? That's where you envisioned him. Just go with it, if he fails he fails.

No. Which is why I dont think we mess w a PG in the draft, especially since we have GV.
Rivers at PG is the kind of move this team needs to pan out very badly so we can continue to add guys at other positions

I think this plays out 1 of 2 ways. Either he takes the starting job from Vasquez and Vasquez becomes our 3rd guard, or he doesn't and you have to choose by the deadline which guard you want coming off the bench in the future. I don't think just handing him the job would be good unless you're already planning to trade Vasquez.

French big man Rudy Gobert says his wingspan was 7-feet-8.5. That's incredible. By way of comparison, Shawn Bradley's wingspan was 7-7.

Speaking of big men: Rudy Gobert was measured at 7-1 1/2 WITHOUT shoes. Has 7-8 1/2 wing span.

Have they listed his standing reach yet?

Not that I've seen but that picture someone posted earlier made him look proportionally normal, unlike say Shawn Bradley or George Muresan who were immobile freaks. If he's athletic and that big and has a lick of basketball skill, sign me up.

Victor Oladipo said he measured at 6-4 1/4 with shoes. Ben McLemore told me he was 6-3 without shoes.

I can see how one would think that.
I just have a lot of opinions that are based on numerous different scenarios.
I never pushed for drafting a PG unless the top 5 or 6 guys were off the board and Burke was the best option.
I also only want Bledsoe if the deal was right.
Im content with GV/Rivers but that doesn't mean there aren't better options that are reasonably attainable.
There are a lot of moving parts to this roster IMO
