@FletcherMackel Former LSU safety Chad Jones has ended his football comeback. Now trying for pro baseball career.

Really hoped to see the Dreadlocks of Doom on the football field again, but I think we all knew it was a pipe dream. Hopefully he can make it in baseball.

He should hire Buzzy as his assistant to chest bump after a good outing.

Pulling for him.

Man, we were talking about this exact situation Saturday at the game. Good luck to you Chad. I can't wait to see that nasty curve ball again!

One of the true greats- a national championship ring in football and baseball.

How many other athletes in LSU history can claim national championships in two sports?

Edited to add: Jared Mitchell.

How could I forget?

Chad Jones would have had a successful NFL career if he had been healthy, I have no doubt. He fought so hard to come back. The Giants deserve a lot of praise for sticking by him for a year or two when you know their docs must have told the FO he would never play in the NFL.

I remember during the CWS in 2009 the guys in the booth, Orel especially, said he looked like a good MLB pitching prospect. Would be fantastic if it worked out somehow.

I admire his attitude and comeback. One of the most amazing athletes i've seen. All the best to him in baseball.

Dreadlocks of Doom make appearance at the 6:10 mark, but the whole video is worth the watch...
