But be sure and come back to the thread later tonight or tomorrow and tell us what you ordered so we can tell you you ordered poorly.

I think I'm going to get the Smoked Wagyu Beef Brisket with Garlicky Parmesan Fries.

the much touted krispy kreme doughnut bread pudding wasn't so good (tasted like a greasy doughnut to me). chocolate chili pie was way better.

the menu changes quite often. looking at it now.. if I were going tonight with my girl our order would be:
small plates:
- Blackened Shrimp & Grit Cake with Warm House Made Bacon Vinaigrette
- Ramp Vichyssoise with Crabmeat, Roasted Ramp Greens & Pickled Ramp Bulbs
- Fried Crispy Skin Duck Confit with Corn Maque Choux & Grilled Cantaloupe
large plates:
- Grilled Swordfish with Fennel, Sauteed Broccoli, Puffed Parmesand & a Chilean Olive Oil Carrot Vinaigrette
also, if you like bloody marys and are in the mood for one tonight they make a really good one. they use bbq sauce.![](https://i.imgur.com/GJNX1U4.gif)

Definitely going to try a couple of those small plates. The grit cake and the duck sound good.
I've never had swordfish before so I'm intrigued.
Sounds like this should be a good meal. Have you had any of the desserts, Rohan?

The small plates haven't changed in 2 years.

they just changed up the menu this past week.
Posted on 5/9/13 at 3:38 pm to CarRamrod
damn. they and coquette are terrible about updating their menu online when it changes.

it is updated. (I THINK) When they change the menu they done change the hole menu. they changed dishes, add to dishes.
they made changes to these dishes: duck confit, scallops, duck breast, fish, soup, 'charcuterie (this month lamb ribs)', and 'vegetarian dish(this month bleu cheese gnocchi)

Ended up starting with the Blackened Shrimp & Grit Cake and the Duck Confit. Loved trying both of these. The shrimp were flavorful and I liked the house made bacon vinaigrette. I ended up liking that more than the duck confit.
For entrees we ordered the Smoked Wagyu Beef Brisket with Garlicky Parmesan Fries and the pulled pork cake. I was thoroughly impressed with tasting both. The meats were absolutely tender and the Parmesan fries were a nice complimentary side to the brisket. I also was surprised at how much I liked the pork cake.
We split the Krispy Kreme bread pudding which was tasty but very rich. It was good but it wasnt something I wanted to eat a lot of after having such a large meal.
Service was really good. We sat outside on the front porch where there are three tables for outdoor dining. It was a nice evening to do that. I would absolutely go back and recommend it to anyone looking for a nice mid scale date restaurant in New Orleans.
