I they start off with the easy ones, just end it there because they really dont know the movie well enough to do it
Definitely. But it's usually more complex than just being able to "end it" because this usually happens when a few of you are well into the quotes, then "this guy" comes with the "Allllrighty then!" Then it just gets really awkward and it kind of makes everyone just want to stop.

But if you get us started me and a friend of mine can spit off family guy quotes for days
that's what I'm saying. I know a lot of us have that little group of friends that we get into the movie discussions with, that normally turns into a quote war. These happen to be the most enjoyable, care free conversations in my life.....til the "Alllrighty then!" shite. This is why I started this thread

Whats funny to me is that you hate these people for using the obvious quotes from movies, but you want everyone in this thread to spit out the obvious quotes from movies
Well, yeah. I guess. Pretty much.

The best quote wars are the ones that spin off into like 40 different movies
We do this all the time, you start off with one Will Ferrel movie and then hit all the will ferrel movies which branches off into Wedding Crashers which turns into all the Vince Vaughn movies like Swingers and so on and so on

This.
I was counting on most of us having these kinds of relationships in our lives. And most of us have these 3-5 guys in our group that each have a particular talent to where they can "NAIL" not only the quote of an individual character, but they sound just like them. The tone and mannerisms etc. We then all try to evolve the conversation to the movie we happen to be good at..........Then the "allrighty then" guy comes in.
I'm basically just looking for the best "Alllrighty then's"

I 100% agree. I've got a number of friends that will quote anything from Seinfeld to Southpark to Caddyshack to MacGruber... and then there's that one friend who will chime in with a completely unrelated Family Guy quote. And everyone just kinda gives him a pity laugh and it completely derails all the quoting.
What's really annoying about it is he picks a quote that is not only overused, but it just never was that funny, nor the best part of that scene. And my other friends and I usually quote things that are relevant to the situation like we were at an LSU baseball game the other day and an opposing fan was cheering for their team so I leaned into my friend and gave him "Guess that's my guy...I can take him, no problem." like Randy from South Park
49 seconds in
My friend cracked up, then our other friend randomly responds with an Anchorman quote that had no application to the situation or my quote, then proceeded to laugh his arse off at his own quote. Turrible

Lol, says the guy crying about his friends not having cool enough quotes. Oh man, you're awesome.

Dude, you seriously sound like a really butt hurt fig right now. Read the OP again, and the several posts after stressing that its ok if you don't agree with me, or don't feel this way.... But there is zero need to participate in this thread in that case. I don't know how I could have been any clearer, yet you felt the need to come in here and cry that people that do feel this way are some kind of douchebags. Well ok. I'm a huge douchebag. Now if you don't mind, carry on and go post in a thread where your opinion matters or is wanted.

Looks like Frank Vitchard will be reprised in Anchorman 2. At least he's rumored.
Now we can have a new generation of overused "shite" quotes

the "if you can dodge a wrench you can dodge a ball" quote makes me fricking hate that movie..not remotely funny
i know what you're saying though, i have one group of friends who i know will catch any line i throw out then another group that i know will only know the basics. but sometimes i get mixed up and let one slip in the "basics" group and nobody catches it and shite just gets weird...
my buddy had me rolling the other day. we were at pluckers and his wings were extra wet and he dropped one in his lap and threw out "HE PUT SO MUCH DAMN LACKER ON THE THING!" (meet the parents)
