do i need to play borderlands 1 to get borderlands 2?

also is there lots of replayability in borderlands 2?

ive never played a game like it, but i feel like people that do play it have been playing for months.

Either one is fine to start with. Once you start playing, you will be hooked. Months will fly by. lol

No, but BL1 is a great game.

A whole lot. This game has multiple playthroughs, and more guns than you can count. Loot as much as you can in your first playthrough. Enjoy

I'm almost level 30 in Borderlands 2 and I find that I'm carving out more and more time to play it. I enjoy the hell out of the game. I play alone and so far there's nothing that I haven't been able to kill.

1 will sort of bore you because a lot of the missions are tedious go here do this then come back type missions. Still a very fun game though.

2 still has those types of missions but they tried to limit them and make the game a little more progressive. It's a lot more fun with a lot more to do but no way I would skip over 1 completely.

It helps to have 1 done to know the back story of some of the characters in 2 as well as the origins of Pandora.

You will have fun either way. What I would personally do is pick up the GOTY edition of one, play it for a long time and then pick up the GOTY edition of 2 if there happens to be one. They will both be cheaper and you still get tremendous replay value from both. Great, great game.

I just recently got back into Borderlands 2

Playstation Network ID: TacticalONE

For anyone that wants to tear it up on Pandora, I have the Season pass as well.

Idk about the GB, but I played through as an assassin the first run then a Mechronancer my second (op, Mechronancer summons a robot to fight for you)

I prefer the Mechronancer.

No, but some things are different. BL2 definitely "smoothed" out the game for the most part, but I kinda preferred the characters from BL1. At least, I preferred the siren and sniper from BL1 to the siren and assassin in BL2.
