He basically said that Shep took himself off the board when he found out that Chip Kelly wanted him on his team. SVP laughed it off saying "I don't know what the rules are, but that's not how the draft works". Sounds pretty sketchy to me. Shep needs to shut his mouth. He's gonna get himself into trouble

Saw that on Sportscenter this morning. They were laughing as well. Shep must be literally a moron. He said specifically teams were calling him in the 6th round and he told them he basically didn't want to get drafted by them because he already signed a 3-year deal with the Eagles as a free agent.

I would think if I was the Eagles I would go ahead and cut him loose now considering he causing this type of problem as UDFA.

And this shows his stupidity front and center. Why would anyone want to pass up the opportunity to get drafted? If true (which it sounds like total bullshite but whatevs lol), he basically demolished his odds of making a roster. Being a draft pick doesnt guarantee a roster spot, but you have way better odds than being an UDFA.

and maybe there is a reason he never threw a pass and was rarely used on anything other than the occasional toss and slant route (aside from the fact that he had horrible hands...maybe he also has a low IQ).

Not his agents fault. Probably never crossed his mind that he had to tell Shep not to make up some dumb shite just so it sounds better that he didn't get drafted.

Hanagriff summed this situation up pretty well earlier today. He actually made me feel sorry for Shep. If you listen to Shep talk, he really thinks he has a 3 year contract and that the Eagles wanted him so bad that they asked him to take himself off the draft board when it's not within the rules for him to do so.

Between his comments yesterday and him turning down offers during the draft (if this really happened) he may have a very difficult time making any roster. If he doesn't make the Eagle's roster, why would anyone else want to be a part of this much arrogance?
