Look up Dr. John Day, LSU Department of Coastal Science.
Utilizing wetlands to treat and filter waste water systems instead of conventional waste water treatment plants.
Along the lines of 2 but can be used on a much broader scale/impact.
Also the side effects of the treatment can be used to restore wetland loss.
