Again don't support Hill here, but if you are dumb enough to pick a fight with someone like Hill you deserve to get your arse kick!!!
Now we think people should "get what they deserve"?
Then Hill should be in jail, considering he has twice knowingly broken the law and been caught.

All of this is new to mankind.
Particularly the part among young men drinking and bar boxing.
In my day we settled this with a vigorous game of yard croquet.
Les should resign after a tearful apology.
Hill should report to Angola for lifetime service.
And you and I should see who here has the prettiest Flamingo feathers.
Look my moral plumage is more impressive than yours!

UHTiger, well said!
No! But if you are going to talk shite to a football player, then you deserve to get your arse kick. Hill will get what he deserves, he will pay the price. Let's just hope he can still play for us after. He may be on probation so it is becoming a bigger deal, but he got in a fight outside of Reggie's. Have you been to tigerland???? Not a night goes by without SEVERAL fights! Most go unreported. This dude probably runs his mouth and gets in fights all the time, but is not use to getting his arse kicked so when he did the guy was embarrassed. I wish it wasn't Hill that did it, but if this dude is trying to start shite in Tigerland he deserved his arse kicking.

quote:A shocking notion in our criminal justice system, but yes. A good system would be one where people more frequently got what they deserve.
Now we think people should "get what they deserve"?
The bright line division between physical violence and all other forms of aggression has been accorded far too much significance in our modern society. A simple punch or slap has caused far less harm and solved far more problems than many examples of derogatory or inflamatory speech. And yet, we continue to insist that any act of physical aggression is automatically more evil than any combination of verbal or other nonphysical behaviours. That's just stupid.
The so-called "fighting words" doctrine had more merit than it was credited with having when we did away with it. Our system needs more rational analysis and less arbitrary, unjustified distinctions.
