Indigo snakes are a favored snake for strippers' acts because they are long and docile and rarely bite.

Am I the only one who has never seen a stripper use a snake as a "prop"?

I thought it had potential until the vampires. It just got stupid at that point. But, the dance scene made it ok for me.

Not me, I love that scene. The part after the snake though, once she's on the table.

Big Daddies on Bourbon used to have a very large python in a glass cage that the dancers used as a stage (mid 90's.) We stopped by one late night and the snake was still there, dead, and covered in mold. The dancers were still dancing on top...

Eww...it didn't smell?

(Yes, I was lurking around the snake thread!)

Eastern Indigo snakes are really cool-looking...I saw one in Florida once that was really bluish-black and so shiny it almost looked iridescent.

I was about to say I'm quite sure the entertainment probably smelled worse than the dead snake.

I thought of that after I hit submit, but I've never been to a strip club so I didn't really know.

They dance on top of every other snake that walks through the door, might as well get on the old moldy dead ones too. Their money is just as good.
