I've only ever dealt 2 cops that weren't assholes for no reason. The first was in high school when I had a HUGE party and the cop came and found me and was more impressed with the number of people I had at my house than he was mad about it. He just told me it was time for everyone to leave and helped clear everyone out. The second time I was stopped shortly after moving to MS and the cop told me I put the stickers on my license plate on the wrong side. He let me go but told me I should get it changed because his colleagues book people for this because it was easy tickets.
So not ALL cops are assholes but the majority of them certainly are.

So you think just because it is a "black neighborhood" that everyone their wants to hear your loud music? You are wrong about that. Grandma and Grandpa don't want to hear it of feel the walls shaking as you go
lol this is what you pointed out? Not even acknowledging that I think it's wrong or the fact that nobody would even have his side in a disturbing the piece argument. When he parked his car in the driveway the guy should have given him a warn8ng about the loud music and let it be done. He elevated it by trying to be all "big man". It was an abuse of authority.

I pointed out the statement that made you look very self absorbed. Even if you are parked in your driveway you can still be cited for noise violation. In my city it is a steep fine. One of our black city councilman was the leader of getting this city ordinance passed.
Getting back to this story, I bet in the end both the officer and Simon acted like asses. I wonder though if we will ever learn the truth.

There is a damn good chance it wasn't the cops, if this is true.

I dont 100% believe either one's story. Im sure Tharold Simon was a lil cocky and feeling himself. I mean who wouldnt be youre about to get that fat paycheck to play football, and your city is celebrating you. Its hard not to be at least a little arrogant. But i dont think the cop had enough reason to arrest him. Likely, he knew who tharold simon was. And because he was in a bad mood, he decides to take it out on tharold and arrest him for a bogus reason.

Not one of yaw know what happened. A WHOLE lot of speculation on many of you ranters. And if anyone thinks this caused TS to drop in the draft you need to put the crack pipe down.
They drafted TM7 with his history this wouldn't phase any NFL teams. Without video or a witness it comes down to a small town detectives word against a small town LSU football player. I don't have a clue which one is a better person or that the better person acted appropriately on this night.
Unfortunately the whole thing probably could have been put to rest if just one of the individuals let it----doubt it will matter to either as they live out their life. Tharold's best response would be to enjoy a successful NFL career and I am sure thats what his Grandmother would want. Good luck to him in the future.

whoa easy man.... first you don't know anything about Eunice..
Second of all TS stayed in constant trouble in high school and was lucky to get to LSU...
