My arse hasn't been kicked in the 35 years that I've been alive.

Great post Britgirl. I have talked to a few people who have had encounters and everyone leaves LSU Basketball players saying they are very kind and nice. I think we have a good group of guys right now and all signs point to a very bright future within the4 program.

Except 'good' is being used as an object in this context, not an adjective. It represents the things that the players did, not how they did them.
And you haven't been in many fights if you've never gotten beat down, achilles.

Awesome read btw. Its nice when talent and humility come together like it has for the basketball team

You must be a blast to hang out with.
Says the guy nit-picking someone's grammar in a post about LSU athletes doing charity work. Get a life, dumbass. Oh and you're still wrong. "Good" isn't being used as an adverb or adjective in this case, but as a noun. And way to deflect attention by calling me out for using the word "douche". Someone as brain-dead as you doesn't deserve a clever insult. Sorry!

Football is under great pressure to recruit based upon skill alone, and being a decent person doesn't seem to be part of the criteria.
one, the size differences of a football team and a basketball team make it far more likely in football.
The football team does stuff like this all the time too.

You make an excellent point.
I wish we heard more about the football players' acts of kindness and volunteer work.

This is what should make ESPN, I would not care if it was any other college team either.
Anthony Hickey
Great to hear he has turned it around off the court.
Carmouche was a great leader, Courtney great team emotional leader, from what saw and heard Stringer was also very vocal.
Hickey, Coleman, Stringer, and JOB (even though that isnt his nature) stepping up to be leaders is huge this year.
I know this is long, but events like these bring teams closer together and rally the community around the Tigers when they make their Final Four run.

Take that shite to the English board. This is a thread to praise those involved with LSU athletics who are giving back to our community. All praise is acceptable. Including praise with minor grammatical flaws. It was a post to say thank you. Not a fricking term paper. Jackass.

I spent 2 hours with Johnny and the team along with Ferguson at the SEC Basketball Tourney LSU Pep Rally in Nashville. Johnny is building something truly special. He talked at length about the importance of not only playing and practicing like a champion, but being a champion in how you interact with the world at large.
So this great sense of service and humility does not surprise me at all from his leadership. Fellas...we are entering a new era of something special with LSU basketball. Johnny is building it the right way!

Brittgirl-----thanks, I needed some refreshing news this evening. Have heard nothing but good things about Jones, hope some of his class and discipline can rub off not only in other sports, but the whole campus. Karma can be like hellfire; but then again, hitting can be contagious in a 2 out rally!

This is American news in a nutshell. Good doesn't sell, bad does. That's why I don't watch the news.
For the OP, great to hear, thanks for posting.

Is that really necessary right now? Such a try hard.
