Kash, I thought the same thing. Not that she would die, but my impulse was like "oh shite, she's gonna shank him!" She truly seemed like a character torn between the moment where her emotions are running high and her duty to the Wildlings. I'm still torn. Something is going to happen there, I feel almost certain of it.
What a tremendous episode. Jaime was BRILLIANT. He's such a compelling character. The scene with him and Brienne in the tub did so much to add depth to his character -- you can't help but be sympathetic to a character. He killed the king, but that's a rule that burdens him. Wow. Just wow.
The Tyrion/Sansa thing blew my mind. It makes so much sense once Tywin said it, but I feel like it's just TOO logical. It won't happen, because if it did that would be too neat, IMO. Stuff is gonna get wild. Seriously, what a great episode.

Also, the Boltons can't be good to the Stark's ambitions. I mean, the sigil is a flayed man. Their men rape prisoners who try to escape. It's only a matter of time before something happens there. Just hope Robb makes it out alive somehow.
Almost forgot about the Sandor fight. Dude killed a man with a flaming sword, knowing he's terrified of fire. Pity Arya is his sworn enemy. They could help each other a if she'd let him.

And I think Tywin knows Cersei and Jaime have been bumping uglies, and possible that the lineage is corrupted. That last scene said that to me.

Ummm yeah Tywin literally just said it in tonight's episode.

Did I miss background on the Boltons? I am assuming they are Stark bannermen. But has Lord Bolton appeared in the series before this episode?

Yes. And yes but only a few times.

did Jamie pass out in the bath?
Yeah, he spoke some cray talk and passed out.
Anyone else have a little trouble hearing Jamie talking to Brienne for some of that? I turned the TV all the way up and then hit rewind to catch it all. My hearing sucks.

yeah, wtf he say...watched twice.
maddy said kill daddy then burn everyone else.
Jamie then Bstab'd the king and Ned walked in.
Ned then thought that Jamie killed maddy to save his own life....as in hand of king should have been fighting Ned, but right when Ned got there, Jamie killed maddy.
So ned let him live, and called him sarcastically the King Slayer, believing him a coward.

nice recap
Yeah, it was the part before that too where he was talking about the Mad King and the wildfire and I think he had men put it under all the houses, etc.
And then yeah, what you recapped too. I guess I'll have to use close-caption sometimes...

Agree. She's going to have to up her game a little more to get through these next few weeks with sanity intact.
Watching Tyrion court her is sure to awkward as hell.
Also love the fact that Cersei got put in her place for once.

EXACTLY! Is too much that I hope the same or worse happens to Joffery?

Weak episode.
Not surprising since last week was the mid-season climax. It wasn't bad though. There's never been a bad episode. Some are just less eventful.

Tywin said it tonight, and Margaery said it last week to Sansa.

I don't remember much of what happened last night. I was pretty hammered

Great episode. My mouth dropped when beric came back to life. I was waiting for Arya to say valar morgulus to the brotherhood and her old friend's face would show up.
Also loved cersei's face when she was put in place.
I think Jaime is going to be banging that behemoth in the near future.
Egret (perfectly misspelled) needs to eat a sandich but I would still hit it.
