Suddenly Eric Reid was a better prospect?

Look at posts a couple of days ago on the Tiger Rant discussing Eric Reid. Most say he was a disappointment last year, or that he regressed somewhat, and should be a late 1st-early 2nd type player. Practically every draft expert (for what they're worth) projects Vaccaro as the best safety in the draft.
And suddenly, we pick Vaccaro, and tons of people come out of the woodworks to declare Reid the better player and better pick, even though the 49ers had to move up to get him. I'm not even sold on Vaccaro yet, but I want an explanation. Is it some sort of LSU bias, hyperbole from a frustrated fanbase, or something else?

It's everyone being bias. Vaccaro might not turn out to be the best pick, but on film he's better than Reid.

he is more of a playmaker than the other two. I like him more . We shall see tho. Hopefully Vacarro comes out on top. He seems very athletic.

Every single coaching staff misses on draft picks every year. There are busts in every team, even the great ones.
To just assume Vacarro sucks just "because all others DB's drafted by the Saints suck" shows you are a compete idiot and probably just trolling at this point for attention.
This board has been disappointing today with so many Saints Talk Vets revealing themselves to be whiny pussies because "their guy" didn't get selected.

Harbaugh said Reid was the only Safety the 49ers had graded as an A.

Honestly can't refute this because I hardly watched UT play at all last year, but I watched plenty of Elam. Dude is a walking 15 yard penalty.
