Any OBers made a truck bed rod holder? I've been scouring the pipes of the web for some ideas and most I ve seen span across the whole truck bed and are made from a PVC/wood combo.
I like the all PVC ones I've seen but always haul at least 1 but usually 2 kayaks stacked in the bed (f150) with an be extender. So the rod holder would have to have a space in e middle for the yaks.
Anybody have pics of their truck rod holders?

This. Lay them down and protect them. I made some rod holders for my truck back in HS. Went thru a BK drive thru and - whack. And if you do decide to do this, never leave your line/lure attached. Cut your lure and wind up.

I put one on the backside of my tool box, the 3 rod holder kind. I used to just stick them in there, but now I have 3 in NOLA and 3 in Cocodrie so I rarely use it.

Something like this might work. Why do you have to stack the yaks? Can't you put them side by side?

The main thing is to make the angle shallow enough that the rods don't stick much above the cab of your truck.

I pretty much always have 3 rods in my passenger seat. No need for 3 rod holders in the bed

I'd forget my rod beside my truck and run over it.

The rod holder on the side is a good idea. Haven't seen that picture. We ve been putting the rods in the cab but the rattling and general aggravation of having 6-8 rods in front of your face for hour or 2 long ride just sucks.

The PVC ones look simple and cheap and sturdy enough to get it done but after all these negative qualities I may be passing on it altogether.
I am one of the types that doesn't get to fish much 4-6 times a month, so while working I enjoy thinking about fishing an hunting gear to make trips easier/more enjoyable

We usually have 2 WS ride 135s and I can't remember if that couldn't fit side by side in the truck bed or on the bed extender so we got desperate and just stacked them the first morning and been doing that ever since. ( my yak likes to be tops)

I use it in that position more when I am rigging multiple rods. It is also good to bring inside when your done for the day and then you have a rod holder ready to go in the cabin/hotel room or wherever you are.
