This is not a green light for a Daredevil film but it good to know that this character is now back in proven and capable hands.
I always felt like there was potential in the 2003 Daredevil film, like there heart was in the right place with a horrible execution. I believe this character deserves a second shot.

Daredevil got taken from its director b/c the studio decided it was going into too dark a direction and wanted it to be more like Spiderman.
There is a directors cut that makes the film much better. There is a whole storyline in court where Coolio is being blamed for a murder and there is no stupid arse love scene with Electra.

quote:No it isn't. That cut stinks too. The plot is pure crap and the acting is Batman & Robin levels of camp.

sorry but I'll have to disagree. I'll watch the DC anytime while I hated the theatrical cut

I've seen this in the 5 dollar bin at walmart. Maybe I should go pick it up one of these days. I thought this movie was just meh to OK. Maybe the director's cut will be just a little better.
Looking back at this movie, who woulda thunk Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner would wind up married IRL with kids?

I wish I could remember the plot so I could trash this movie again. Wonder if I can dig up my old post.... Got to love Google.

Wow. Really? What a pile of crap.
I tired watching this a few years ago but gave up. Since then, I have read the director's cut was 100X better than the theatrical release so I decided to give it a try. 100X 0 is still 0.
Bad acting, all of the fights are bad lighting close cam crap. Did I mention bad acting. I don't hate affleck like most people but good lord he was horrible. Bad writing.
Not so secret identity...
So kingpin finds out the secret identity, but he won't release it because he won't want people knowing he was beaten by a blind man? Yeah, sure.
A freaking reporter figures it out and he decides the city needs Daredevil so he doesn't release the information.
Oh and Electra also finds out.
And his priest.
Who in the god damn movie doesn't figure it out?
I hate movies that deep throat us with morality. Daredevil is a vigilante and he kills people but after his girlfriend is killed he learns that violence is bad....mkay... and he decides not to kill kingpin. Sure, right after his girlfriend is killed, in the heat of the moment he makes that conclusion.
Let us not forget that he was IMPALED with a blade and was near death, yet somehow he is able to defeat both Bullseye and Kingpin a few hours later.
If you have never seen it, count your lucky stars.

Hey hoss, I stated my reasons which are all valid. How about disputing something I said.

Eh.
It was a joke that whenever you dislike a show, you go all out as hold nothing back..
How about that awesome show SGU again?

only a few pieces of entertainment received the full treatment.

Terra Nova - although Nova was so bad I couldn't even continue my weekly dismantling.
I ripped Trek 2012 pretty hard although with the caveat that I liked the movie even with its 315 plot mistakes / loopholes.
