If I did that, I'd be the new Malcolm, and you guys would hate that..

Nathan Fillion stays, but after the movie they do need a new pilot.

Sure didn't get much for all the work I put into that post.

I've read it all before. Maybe I shouldn't have previewed your arrival in the thread and given away the term "rape stones".

SGU was terrible for too many reasons to mention.
It was not that bad. I watched SG1 since the shows inception, before SyFy. It's still my favorite of the three.
SGU was way different, mainly because they were trying to target a different audience. SGU had fairly good acting and a storyline that was getting better and better. The character development was solid and so were many other aspects. The lack of humor and increase in drama is understandable since the characters were stuck in an unknown galaxy with only a very slim chance of making it home. Most of them weren't expecting to end up there. SGU, if anything, was fairly realistic.
I loved the humor aspects of SG1 and SGA, but sometimes the cheesiness was too much.
SGU, while only 3rd best, was still pretty good. I have several friends who didn't really want to watch SG1, but actually really liked SGU when checking it out on Netflix.

Excuse me but in SG1 and SGA they had the imminent threat of planetary destruction but they were still capable of cracking a joke. 12 planets were destroyed in BSG and yet the survivors could crack a joke.
I didn't notice a rebuttal of the fact the show is based on gate travel and yet they did almost NONE and they met 1 microscopic life form, one robot life not even as interesting as the replicators, one hostile life form and one other life form in 40 episodes.
In 40 episodes they didn't even fully or even barely search the ship.
The show was garbage. It killed 2 planned dvds and tossed the show into the garbage heap for the foreseeable future.
Yeah, it sucked.
Guess you liked the rape stone too?

Do you understand what realistic means?
They traveled through the gate almost every episode. Do you have any idea how big galaxies are? The chances of stumbling upon intelligent life is very low. Sorry not every planet has life on it you dumb fck. The show failed because idiots like you can't understand complicated situations and topics.
Idiots like you are the reason the whole series is done

Wrong again. I watched every episode.
Thanks for playing. Want to get you arse kicked again?

Anything is possible. It's called being open minded. One of the key things of being a fan of Sci Fi
quote:
No they didn't.
Yeah they did. It was one of the main ways to get resources. They had a very limited range of gates to choose from, with the majority of the planets being dangerous to visit

Each galaxy is different, which is why anything is possible. Plus they were limited on both gate travel and ship controls, on top of that they had no idea where they where or where to go.
Oh and the Atlanteans never made it to Destiny, they ascended way before, only Destiny and the seeds ships made it there. Those ships were there over a million years before the Destiny crew. It's fair to assume the galaxy changed a lot since then. Strange how you watched the show yet don't understand a big part of the premise.

Why when idiots like you are why the show was cancelled. Hating a good show over stupid shite

Wrong again. I watched every episode.
To nitpick for things you disagreed with. Most of your reasons are trivial at best.

quote:Ever been to a funeral where people didn't tell stories some comical about the dearly departed? It isn't realistic to have no humor. Once again, BSG had the 12 colonies destroyed but they lived on and part of living on is humor.

Yeah they did. It was one of the main ways to get resources

Not stupid shite. In fact most on here thought the show sucked. Heck, just check this thread, the newcomers that just started watching it thought it sucked.

Once again, thanks for playing our game. Try again?

Just did a quick episode check of season 1. 13 of the 20 episodes had no gate travel. Thanks for playing. I'll check season 2 tomorrow.

No need to argue after this. Over a million years had passed. Things changed since then. What is so hard to understand. You obviously don't get the premise. All of this is trivial. Sorry you hate the show for dumbass reasons.

Seed ships are unmanned spaceships launched from Earth by the Ancients tens of millions of years ago.

How much different is Earth now compared to millions of years ago.

No need. Understanding complex ideas is way over your head. There is a big difference between watching and actively watching. You obviously did the former.

quote:Once again, why build it and don't ever use it. It has nothing to do with being over anyones head. It is simply a stupid idea by the writers. They sent out seed ships millions of years ago so LONG before they ascended, so it is reasonable to assume they would have then gone out to check the gates.
No need. Understanding complex ideas is way over your head. There is a big difference between watching and actively watching. You obviously did the former.
Once again, the other iterations the gates lead to habitable planets. This time they lead to nothing. Makes no sense.
Try again.
Try disputing the 13 of 20 since you said they always used the gate. Keep at it you might get at least one valid point amidst your insults before I go to sleep.

It ruined the SG universe.
Gate travel was the point behind stargate.
It just wasn't the same when it became a spaceship show. People wanted new worlds, new races and action and drama and comedy.
It was boring. Worse than Babylon 5.

loved SG1 until oneal became a general then it wasn't quite as good.
loved SA
SGU was okay but they needed to progress the storyline a little faster and a little more. wish they could have had a couple more seasons to see where it was going.
