Usually a decent player. Shot a 39 on nine at beaver creek two weekends ago. turned around and went to a couple robert trent jones courses last weekend and never made it on the course because I got the shanks. Took a week off amd went to range this morning and same thing. Cant hit the ball in the air and shank it badly to the right. Who can I see to get some lessons in gonzales or baton rouge this week to get my game straight again?

Post a video of your swing and everyone here will help.

The shanks are the worst... only time heals them.

sorry but this is one thing I don't get about the avid golfers. Why the frick do people pay for lessons for a damn hobby? When I play, if I suck I suck or if I'm on I'm on. I'm not going to pay some "pro" to fix my swing for something I do for fun. Who cares?
"man my shot has been off lately in the last few basketball rec games I've played in, I need to call in a specialist and get this right."
"I've been slumping these last few weeks in softball, I need to go to baseball camp to help me pull out of this"

It's part mental. Start with chips and short pitches to get a little confidence and slowly work your way back to longer clubs

quote:Some people enjoy playing the best that they can, a golf pro can do wonders for your game. Pros teach you how to swing correctly and consistently, not just being able to get it in the air at the driving range. They also will teach you golf strategy and how to score. Besides, who doesn't have more fun playing good than when they are not.
