Anybody else just incredibly disappointed with this show? Top Gear (UK) is one of the best shows you can watch today, and our version is just awful.

I've never wathced the UK version and I've only seen a couple of US ones. The Jersey guy adds nothing. The nerd is, well, nerdy. And the other guy can drive really well but is kind of a douche.
The RV episode was retarded.

The UK version is one of my favorite shows in existence.

Well for one thing the hosts of our version suck, plus there is no way all of these car companies are going to send their million dollar cars to 3-5 different top gear shows, they just let the main one do all the real testing. That and celebrities only care about the real show as well.

That's another thing about Top Gear (UK). They do plenty with affordable cars. The great thing is that Top Gear is respected enough worldwide that they don't have much trouble at all getting the best cars because it's great publicity.

British Hosts >>>>>>>> American Hosts
It goes along the lines that I will watch any Japanese Game show. Almost all I have seen are incredibly funny. American's would never do most of the things on there, and they would put on boorish lame hosts.

Top Gear UK is the most watched tv show on the planet... kinda hard to compete, but i dont like the US version either

I tried watching the US version, but the chemistry between the 3 hosts is horrible and all the challenges they do are direct rip-offs of the UK version. You can't re-create what Clarkson, Capt Slow and Hamster have for chemistry. They truly look like they are having fun doing the show. The US version feels forced. So it's like watching a cheap backyard attempt at copying a great show.

Never watched it, knew it couldn't compare.

This has never been discussed. Ever

I'm in the minority. I like the US version.

The hosts have no chemistry. Adam Ferrara knows nothing about cars and Tanner Foust has the personality of a shoe.
Matt Farah, Michael Andretti and Adam Carolla should have hosted the US version. If you've never watched any of Farah's stuff, google "The Smoking Tire".

I just wish they weren't quite so anti-American (specifically clarkson)

False. In fact it's quite the opposite. The only reason the show is still on the air is because of them. I personally love the US and the UK version. Granted it's a different format now but the quality of each US show varies, just like the UK one.
Adam is the weakest part of the show but the episode in season 1 where he jumps the Caddy cemented his place on the show.
If Tanner is a Douche what do you call Jeremy Clarkson?
