If we trade back and trade with Vikings

LINK This article says it is a possibility, and i know it was posted.
We get 23 and 52
Min gets 15 and our 6th
what about a guy like Datone Jones, highlights, in the first. UCLA played him out of position as a DT in a 4-3 when he is a best fit for the 3-4 DE spot. realistically if we trade back to 23 Mingo, Jones, and Werner will all likely be gone. Then in the second grab Jamie Collins. Maybe have our draft look something like this
23- Datone Jones, DE
52- Jamie Collins, OLB
75- David Amerson, CB/FS
109- Chris Faulk, OT
144- Stansly Maponga, TCU
Also this may allow us to release Will Smith. We would need a CB, it would give us the room to maybe sign a guy like Winfield and possibly bring back Elbert Mack. We also have some UDFA CBs from last year: Ryan Steed, AJ Davis, Dion Turner. One of those guys may step up and provide depth as our 5th corner.

Id rather just draft the best defensive stud with the #15 pick. But I like where you are going with this.

I think that's what they will do.

Those three top rated pass rushers might all be gone by 15 much less in the 20's. I've been saying Minnesota is a strong suitor to trade back with seeing as though they have two first round picks and need a WR. They could trade up and give us their second, so they could select Tavon Austin.

This. If Austin is there at 15, we are going to get offers for our pick

Why would they get anything other than 15? I wouldn't give them anything else. Their 1&2 for 15 overall. Done deal.

I don't get all the love for Austin. He's a 5'8" slot receiver.

To me, he seems like the equivalent of Matheiu on offense. "Undersized" but makes plays constantly. Austin is a highlight reel almost every game, he's for real. Maybe not in the Calvin Johnson type of for real, but he can line up anywhere on the field, even at RB and make people look silly. I'd love to nab him if our defense wasn't the worst in the history of the NFL last year

don't think he will be there late 2nd round

if a stupid amateur blog says we'll trade with the vikings, it must be true

Am I the only one fine with Lewis, Greer, PRob, White, and Mack (if he resigns). I wouldn't mind drafting a young talent, but to add somebody like Winfield blows my mind. Will he play for vet minimum? I've heard he is more of a nickel CB? He is ooooold. IF we make any more FA moves with our very limited cap space I hope it is for a LT. I am satisfied with our FA's thus far on Defense - value pick ups at all the right positions
Edit: I am anticipating big things from PRob this year in the man coverage. Even if he is only a nickel back moving forward. I also love White and Mack as 4 and 5 after the experience and play time they got last year after an overall garbage-time season

I would rather stay at 15 and grab Mingo, Star or Jarvis.

Star is guaranteed to be gone by our pick since he was medically cleared. Jarvis is pretty doubtful outside of a few people saying he will drop. Mingo is a toss up. But what OP was referring to was a scenario where none of those 3, plus other targets are gone.
