I've been hearing some rumors of pjanic to the epl with either Chelsea or man city as the likely destinations

Pjanic has shot down those rumors whenever asked in a manner that will make him public enemy #1 if it came out a transfer was his choice. . . the Man City one that seems mainly derived from Dzeko publicly urging him to come.
I think Pjanic only moves if both of these things happen: 1) the owners try to get him to sign an extension and he refuses 2) there's a somewhat comparable and top flight ready player (like an Ericksen) that will come and sign a longer deal
I don't think the mere amount of any offer will do the trick nor does Pjanic show any sign of wanting to leave.
As crazy as it sounds De Rossi may be the more likely of any big name Roma player to leave. I say that because this summer could be the first time that it could happen with a majority of fans pacified in thinking it's best for the future since he really had a difficult injury riddled year and makes so much money. Doubtful but maybe more likely than any of the young stars.
My best guess for Roma (since a lot may depend on new manager) is that not much happens with stars:
Osvaldo, Burdisso and maybe Stekelenberg will be sold.
That money plus a bit more is spent on:
1) starting CB to pair with Marquinhos
2) young striker (like an Aubameyang)
3) top flight ready MF option
4) maybe a RB if Piris option is not picked up
5) veteran GK if Stek is sold
6) focus on extending young stars' contracts
Also, Roma has more promising young players on loan or at the primavera level than most clubs so I'd expect a couple of new arrivals to be along lines of Florenzi and Romagnoli this year.

If Roma shop De Rossi, I would hope Arsene would put in a bid. He's pretty much precisely what we need. But I'm sure he would go to a super club instead, so no use dreaming.

De Rossi
I have him in my LFC wish list a couple pages back in our season long thread.
It was a dream signing... I know this summer he said Gerrard was his Idol... may be he wants to play with him?
I'm sure his wages and transfer cost would be way out of our league even if he'd wanted to...

Fernando Amorebieta
He looked good for Bilbao the last couple of years when I saw them play more often.
Why are they having so many problems with players not playing / contract disputes? Is it Bielsa that takes a real hardline?
It's been disappointing to see them struggle.

I've never rated him. He's slow, tactically unaware, and enjoys throwing himself around causing fouls. The perfect example of his normal performances is last year's Europa Final.

Not everyone fits Bielsa's system and he likes to try to force people into his system.

The Butcher of Bilbao?
Will they hold onto Muniain and Herrera? My guess is if they hold teams to those ridiculous buyouts, than yes...

As long as a massive club doesn't come calling, Muniain is staying. He's in love with the club, even if he's not being allowed to fully shine in Bielsa's system.

With Athletic's signing policy, it's understandable to want to keep players at any cost.

BIG BIG news out of Germany: all signs are pointing to a Mario Gotze exit, where might he be going you ask? Well it appears that Bayern has triggered his 37mm release clause and he has ALREADY signed the contract         :dude: :dude:

apparently Bild is reporting that Gotze is going to Bayern for 37 million. It's all over twitter.

How fricking stacked can they be? What a great squad they have assembled.

Well god damn. Bayern isn't messing around.

7mm per year. Ribery makes 10, he's the highest paid player in the league.

klopp said a week or two ago that 'some of my players clearly want to sign for bayern' i guess this is who he was talking about. smart money is betting that kloppo has already been in touch with RM lobbying for that job. he won't want to stick around I'm sure. With the exodus of Gotze, Lewandowski and possibly Gundogan, BVB will have a shite load of cash to spend. Will be interesting to see what happens. In Germany the sporting directors are more responsible for assembling the club than in England, where it seems to be mostly the managers responsibility. Looks like BVB actually managed to cause their own demise Bayern would've never bought all those players last season if BVB didn't dominate them for two years. Also if Arturo Vidal wouldn't have chosen Juve then Javi Martinez would've never happened. So, I'd like to extend a thank you to BVB and Mr. Vidal, who is still winless in his career Bayern.
