yea it was 4 months for $40 as long as we get to see the tigers its all good btw I wonder what happens when this new sec network kicks off ,hopefully they show more sec baseball.

Just for a second verification, GZ does show full replays of baseball correct? I will prolly get it for the last 2 months of the season, and go from there. And it's only 110 for a year. I also wouldn't mind catching a couple softball games. They were fun to watch in the WCWS run.
I also would assume more baseball games will get televised once the SEC network starts up. Dish better carry that too, since I will be getting the Pac 12 network.

Yeah the baseball coverage is absolutely horrible.

I love Dish. Had DirecTV when I was still living with my parents and Dish performs much better. The slightest cloud would interupt direc but we haven't had any interuptions with Dish for almost a tear
This is pushing the edge where typos and grammatical errors almost make something hard to understand

Word from LSU is that they'll be dropping COX as a corporate sponsor next year anyway, so...
Posted on 4/4/13 at 8:49 pm to GRIZZ
Oh, I basically figured they would move to Fox or something as soon as I got Dish.
Posted on 4/4/13 at 9:09 pm to Tiger Live2
I still have COX only for CST and the Tigers, but I'm really contemplating a move to Uverse. Rates are much better. I'm gonna hold out until I hear what LSU is going to do, but I may eventually jump regardless.

the rates, basically clinched the switch for me. Much cheaper than DirecTV and Cox when I had them.
Did get the Hopper too

The sales guy for Direct TV lied to me when I subscribed. He told me that Fox would carry the games this year.
Posted on 4/4/13 at 9:59 pm to LSUSER2
.Why does that not surprise me.
When I was cancelling DirecTV on the day of the last bball game against A&M. I told him the reason was to watch LSU BASEBALL.
So they say they will give me basketball full court package for free the rest of the season. Really? Thanks for nothing.

Thank you man. Already ended up scheduling Dish install, but what is your opinion on Dish in general? Looks like in this thread it's 3-1 on Dish being good.

Its not bad. Takes a pretty legit storm to knock the signal out.
We have a Hopper and 3 Joeys. My only deal is the Primetime recording. It automatically records EVERYTHING on the local channels from 7-9. Which if you have something on another channel recording and are trying to watch something else, you cant because your recordings are in progress and the Primetime recordings are in progress.
And everyonce in a while the damn thing will shut off and reset in the middle of your show.
I think there is a way to disable the primetime rec, but I havent done it since we moved.
Id take it over DirectTV just for the CST though

Thanks for warning me about the primetime recording. Since I have worked nights for so long, I watch/record very few shows during primetime on the national stations. I will be sure to ask about that on Monday. The commercial free viewing did sound cool.

Yea thats bad arse. It asks you if you want to skip commercials on your recordings before you start watching..... YES
and theres a skip button on the remote too so if for some reason you dont get prompted to "skip commercials", you just hit the skip button and it skips like 30 seconds at a time. Hit that bad boy like 6 times and boom, no commercials

That last part is always a problem. Half the time on DVR recordings, I forget to fast forward during commercials.
But thanks for the info.
I can't wait to get CST again. That and the WWL news rebroadcast were the only things I missed from Cox cable.

I caught that thanks. Wish it hadn't been anchored. You have been a wealth of knowledge tonight.
