I need water purification beyond just iodine tablets. Any suggestions?

I've got stuff, and I've got bags. The two are not combined though. Everytime I pack stuff up, I need something from it, and it's at the bottom of the bag.

I tend to error on the side of sanity though.

I have a lot of BoB items, but they are all sitting in a box next to said bag. Need to finish putting it together. Also would like to put together some "get home bags" cause if shite hits the fan we aren't going a damn place but home.

I've got water and a gun in my truck when I leave. If I have to walk home I could do 25mi in two days tops. I've gone that long without food before.

No bag but I've got enough ammo in the truck to get me home.

I need to put another box of 9mm in the truck. I took it out to do a full inventory and never put it back.

Just remember, its not really a shower, it's a gas chamber.

Have BOB's for each family member and a couple of waterproof boxes full of shite I can just throw into a vehicle. Am contemplating building or buying a "fortress".

Shipping containers? I'm thinking about getting some 8' culverts and turning them into an underground fortress

more like bags
1 for necessities, fire, toilet papper, food, medical
1 gun bag, no need explaining this.. but it has 2 9mm, 1 .45, one .223 and a .22lr with around 200+ rounds for each (except the .22lr, got about +1000 rounds in the bag at the moment)
1 "extra" bag, extra MRE's, rounds, fire starter kits, (my fire starter kits consist of vaseline, cotton and BIC lighters... put the vaseline on the cotton and you have a hell of a fire starter), and about 10 pounds of jerky
a bunch of other stuff.. just stuff i've added.. oh. and a tool bag with everything under the sun, my friends and I jokingly call it a "rape/murder bag", as it consists of zip ties, duck tape, ski masks, contractor bag, etc.. and other shady shite

I like your strategy. Mine is similar. My BoB is heavy as shite. If I had to hike, I'd dump the lease important stuff. If I'm driving/riding, I grab it as it is, and a waist bag that I can actually wear at the same time if I need. The waist bag has supplemental food, water and ammo.

Can't decide. I would like to bury it for additional insulation, protection, and stealth. Problem is that the land I own is all riverfront and floods. If I build there it'll have to be elevated. Am looking for land elsewhere, but can't find any close that meets my requirements.

i forgot to add my water purification tabs, but yeah.. i don't plan on hiking, not that i can't with all three/four.. it's just why would you? i got a spot in La and Va for any occasion.. only one, (in Va), doesn't have a generator

Our BOB's are packed with essentials and as many luxury items as we can carry. Mine wears around 50lbs, but I can carry it 12 miles a day at least through mountainous terrain. The wife and kids are each about 25. We occasional grab ours and go for the weekend with nothing else. It's the best way to decide what you REALLY need. The kids haven't gone with us yet though.
