I made another more advanced visit today. Nice place. It's still mediocre.
Wine ok. Beer ok. Produce sucks. Meat, same as Albertsons, seafood nada. Groceries same as any basic grocer. Not sure about cafe or gelato but im not in it for that.
I don't know what you are talking about.
Wine selections is pretty damn good. Their beer is ok. I was impressed with their seafood section too. Good variety of beautiful fish.
I thought their produce was fantastic. Huge bellpeppers, and onions. Tastey romaine and spinach. I went sunday afternoon and shopped for dinner. Picked up bellpepper, onions, garlic romaine, spinach, and tomatoes. All great looking produce. Better than albertsons, winn-dixie, and calandro's.
I also bought a couple lbs of ground meat. Very red, great looking ground meat. Woman in front of me commented on how good it looked.
I also picked up some market made beef jerky there, which was really good. Bought some fresh made hog head cheese, and some sausage (gator & jalapeno, green onion, and italian). I also picked up some smoked cheese and some salami/charcuterie stuff there, and another fried chicken plate lunch.
I don't get the hate for the place. I think it is impressive and it will be my one-stop shop for groceries. That albertson's down the way is in trouble, IMO. I saw 2 managers there on the day of the opening, wearing their manager shirts. They were looking around and looked depressed.
ETA: I will admit that the aisles are pretty narrow. Especially when you have assholes that feel the need to drive through the middle of the aisle, and refuse to move when you say, Excuse me.

Where did I say I hate the place chief? I just said its nothing special. Which it isn't. Groceries are the same as anywhere, meat included. Beer the same. Wine the same. Produce light years from WF and Fresh Market and about on par with Calandros. I don't grocery shop for sushi or plate lunches so I don't comment on those items. As I've said from the beginning I've bought from them and will continue to use them on occasion but I'm not going to mash my bag in the parking lot because it's such a great place.
