I refuse to complain considering I managed to not lose power during the last 2 storms to hit NOLA(Lee and Isaac).
If it was a light pole. Could it of been hit by lightning? There was a ton when I was coming home at 1am

For the idiots out there thinking they cancelled this game just because:
Wednesday at the Square was also cancelled.

Why did they call the game that early? It's not raining anywhere. This is like the time a few seasons ago when the game at Tulane was rained out around noon and it didn't rain for the rest of the day.

As long as Maestri is in charge over there, they aren't doing any favors for college baseball, LSU or Tulane. I'm surprised they are still able to work out the WPC each year.

Looks like I don't have to pull against Southern Miss.

Neither team had left yet. Calling it early made it so the teams didn't have to travel. They weren't going to play this game unless they were 100% sure they could get it in.

Do they still have tickets available? I wasn't going to be able to make it tonight so I didn't get tickets, but I can definitely go on Tuesday!

The game was cancelled because of a light tower issue and apparently they couldn't fix it in 7 hours. Total bullshite! It had nothing to do with the weather or field conditions. Call and complain, ring the phones off the hook. (504) 734-5155

The lights apparently were an issue.
Also this

The situation was complicated because both teams had to bus in for the game, and there was uncertainty if the right-field pole lights would be working — even if the rain cleared in time for the game to happen.
The lights had gone out during a Zephyrs practice Monday night. The electrician working on the lights Tuesday determined that he had to replace a breaker, but one had to be shipped in from Las Vegas and didn’t arrive until mid-day Wednesday.

The only midweek date that was available for LSU and Southern Miss was April 23, which is the day before the Golden Eagles are scheduled to play Alabama.
“They were not all that interested in playing back-to-back midweek games against LSU and Alabama between conference series,” Tigers coach Paul Mainieri said, “and I can’t fault them for not wanting to do that.”

An asswipe trying to call someone a retard, nice.
Before trying to call people names, maybe you should know the facts first. I live in Hattiesburg and I know Brent Shelton, USM's Asst. Coach. I called him yesterday to find out why the game was rescheduled and he didn't even know it had been. I told Brent that the ticket office at Zephyr Field had just informed me it was. He must have called Zephyr Field and spoke to someone that knew the situation, because Brent called me back about 5 minutes later and told me they were having problems with one of the light towers and that was the reason the game was rescheduled.
My wife takes off work a half day every year to attend this game as did her son. It's a yearly tradition for us, and she was pretty upset when I told her why the game was rescheduled. She has to give a weeks notice to get off, and will not be able to attend on April 9th. So if you think it's retarded to call and complain when the game was cancelled for technical reasons and not the weather, FU.
I thought it was total bullshite that the maintenance people couldn't fix the lighting issue in 7 hours. How was I supposed to know they had to get a breaker shipped from Las Vegas(Maybe they should keep couple in stock?). Anyway, the breaker got there and they could have fixed the lighting by 7PM and played the damn game. So kiss my arse saintsfan22!
