went to the family lake house in toledo bend(palo gaucho) and the crappie were biting all weekend. My brother caught a 2 lb 7 oz crappie and a couple other really nice ones. I got stuck with a bunch of average to small ones

Awesome! Went to Toledo Bend for Easter Weekend and tore the sac-a-lait up using shiners about 2-3' under cork on steep bank in coves (Slaughter Creek and United Bay Area. Also picked up several on black beetle spin. Majority were very nice slabs. All were filleting size! Left them bitting so get out there if you can!
