I was not paying attention while pouring a leader trail of corn to a hog trap. I feel a hard tap on the side of my boot and look down to see this juvenile water moccasin mouth open head cocked and tail dancing in intimidation.

Thanks to good snake boots I got lucky.

Thanks to a 2 3/4" heavy dove load he was not.

Thankfully the boys were still in the truck at the time.

Even as a youngin, you could not convince me to pick up a snake, no matter how dead.

Does nobody in Louisiana own a hoe? The perfect snake killing tool and it never has to be reloaded!

No way my kids hold a snake like that. Impressive hoisting skills.
