So I was doing some OC'ing with my 4770k and made a huge, actually more so annoying, frick up.
I pressed F5 to reset my bios after having some BSOD issues, but I completely forgot that my RAID config was through the BIOS... So I booted and I had nothing on my desktop anymore and was like WTF. Go into my BIOS and see I'm back to AHCI instead of RAID.
Is it possible to reassemble the raid without having to reformat it? Everything is still on the RAID, but I get a BSOD every time I try to boot with the RAID option on in the mobo settings

I'm nervous about OCing my CPU
Posted on 12/23/14 at 6:25 pm to LewDawg
Lol why? As long as you have an aftermarket cooler you can at least go up to 4.5 easily.
Posted on 12/23/14 at 6:29 pm to UltimateHog
That's 4.4

Yeah which is the same as mine just about, I'm at 4.5.
I can hit 4.7 stable but leave it at 4.5, plenty.

I know with a raid 1 configuration you can use Windows repair to boot from one drive and rebuild the raid, but that's because both disks have the same data. Honestly not sure what you have to do with a raid 0 (I assume that's what you're running).

Temps in the 50s is okay right?
Posted on 12/23/14 at 7:16 pm to UltimateHog
That's pretty much maxed out in terms of CPU at 4.7GHz and the 290 at 1135/1535.
I could probably get to 4.8 and get that 9K physics score if I really wanted to. Never tried.

Under heavy load? Low to mid 50's is fine.
Idle mine is at 36.

Are you 1440p with that setup I take it?
Posted on 12/23/14 at 7:48 pm to UltimateHog
Nope. That's my next upgrade. I did the ultra test to see how well I would manage 4k. I didn't manage.
Posted on 12/23/14 at 7:51 pm to LewDawg
Yeah memory capacity and bandwidth of tahiti just can't cut it for 4k unless you turn down textures. And doing that effectively negates the 4k experience.

My 4k test went amazing.
