It was cheap and compatible with everything i bought.

So you didn't listen. What did you actually buy?

Hope all is well man good luck tomorrow.

fricking hate that hospital. Too much New Orleans trash in there. It really does feel like I'm at a free clinic every time I'm there. Medical staff is great, but they're a nonprofit hospital with assistance for lower income families. So there's just tons of obnoxious... people there.

Every hospital feels that way. How's your son?
Posted on 8/5/14 at 8:25 pm to Mr Gardoki
This hospital is worse than usual. Or maybe it's because my most recent frame of reference is Woman's Hospital, which is luxurious by comparison.
Son is doing great. You wouldn't know he had surgery if not for the incision. Which is why I am free to complain about the minor annoyances like waiting room riffraff.
And being there does make me feel more fortunate that my son's issue is relatively minor. That hospital deals with some serious shite. We had two appointments today, several hours apart, so we spent some time walking around the hospital, eating in the cafeteria, etc. I saw wheelchair bound toddlers with spina bifida, parents with a kid barely in elementary school walking out of oncology, an autistic kid throwing a violent tantrum in the main lobby, and overheard other parents mentioning that their son is currently in his fourth surgery this year.

Well good to know about him. That shite scares me more to even hear about now.
Which hospital?
Which hospital?

Children's Hospital in New Orleans.
Just remember that most babies are born perfectly healthy, and there's still a long list of ailments that are perfectly manageable. My daughter was born with hip dysplasia. Sounds scary, but it involved nothing more than her spending 6 weeks in a harness-like contraption as an infant, and it was completely cured.
Now she has asthma (expected, because I had it as a kid too), and that's probably the worst of it. But really, it's just asthma. Just gotta keep a good stock of Albuterol.
EDIT:
Here's some scary shite for ya. My son's hospital bills are starting to show up in my insurance claims online:

Big things are happening.. Have stayed busy, plus the lack of any new tech bores me. Might stump a couch.

I hate kids and I didn't want any a year ago

You'll probably still hate other people's kids. I'm the same way. I don't understand parents who bring their babies to restaurants and movie theaters, only to have them leave because the baby is throwing a fit, or worse, just sit there while the baby screams. My daughter was unpredictably fussy as a baby, so I hated when the in-laws wanted to go out to eat for whatever bullshite reason. My son has been more of a take-anywhere baby, but even the 5 hours we had to spend in New Orleans was too much for him. Babies that young need to nap after an hour and a half of awake time.
I still wouldn't take my 3-year-old to a movie. She loves to talk, and there's no way she has the attention span for 90 minutes of a plot she doesn't understand.

My kids are adults. I have no desire to be around little kids. I pay extra when I vacation to stay away from "family" places.
But I'm sure all y'alls kids are wonderful.

I appreciate that. I hate babies crying in church too. They have a crying room designed for that purpose.
