The defensive line will be much improved from '12. Yes I realize that we lose a likely 1st rounder(Mingo), 2nd rounder (Montgomery), 3rd Rounder (Logan) and a 5th rounder (Lavar). But we are absolutely exploding with talent on the D-line.

I think the '13 group will have 2 things that the '12 group didn't. A hunger and no sense of entitlement.

In the off season last year we kept hearing about our D-line saying that they were going to be the GOAT and this year it's: Jordan Allen and Danielle Hunter are working their asses off, Rasco is showing great ability to get to the QB, Freak has become a leader and Ego Ferguson is just quietly going about his business and continue's to get better and better. I honestly believe this year's D-line will impact the game much more than last years did.

Freak will finish with more tackles for loss and sacks(4.5) than Mingo.

Rasco will have more sacks than Montgomery(8).

Ego will finish with more tackles(45) and sacks (2) than Logan.

Danielle Hunter is going to have a motor that won't quit and will constantly get into the backfield.

Jordan Allen will be this year's defensive player that sub's in and will be just as impactful as a starter (Ron Brooks/Lavar Edwards)

ETA: Offensive Prediction: La'el Collins finishes the season as the one of the top 3 Offensive Tackles win the nation with Taylor Lewman and Jake Mathews. Goes Pro and is off the board in the first 10 picks.

I would say 8&4, I would be very happy if we finished better, but losing that much defense,I just don't think so.

Quantavius Leslie will be the best WR on the team by mid season.

LSU will win every game it does not lose, but will lose every game it does not win. I predict somewhere between 14-0 and 0-12. How's that for going out on a limb.

I think we have a shot at a natty but until I see actual game play I am only cautiously optimistic, and I'm lean toward sunshine pumper. Too many unknowns for me now.
I do think the 8-3, 9-3 never gonna have another good offense/win the SEC/NC as long as Miles is here gang needs to give it a rest.

Bold prediction...hmmm...I'll go with Jennings getting 100+ snaps on the year and rushing for 300 yards.

Last yrs "D" line was way over rated.

They have talent...just seemed like they were going Pro and were not motivated.

I'll be shocked if Logan plays more than 5yrs. Same with Mingo.

Our best player on defense was Minter...no one else even close.

So, I agree with your assessment that our d will be better. Hopefully more hungry.

the sad but honest truth.

quote:

Freak has become a leader

this is key, we need someone with a fast motor to lead and motivate like Dorsey and we need that kind of effort and focus for 60/13. these kids have to think about who came before them....guys like Spears, Hill, Lavalais, Wroten, Williams and Brokers who had the want and did what it takes to get where and whomever they wanted.

Freak will finish with more tackles for loss and sacks(4.5) than Mingo.

that shouldn't be difficult.

quote:

Rasco will have more sacks than Montgomery(8).

hopefully by mid-season.

quote:

Danielle Hunter

has the opportunity and the skills to become a star.

I never make predictions but we are going to be, IMO...a "damn strong football team."

get better.

You will see a much improved offense. And if the defense can be in the top 20 in the country.

I predict LSU in the NC game.

Book mark this I will be right. This years team will be close and a team again most of the players that took plays off and had bad attitudes are gone. So this team will go farther than last years team.

Defense will be better than expected and maybe better tghan last year.

Offense will be improved cause of Mets and his receivers maturity. Running game will again be what we rely on to win games

Record: 11-1 regular season, with lost to Georgia early

Bold prediction? Well here goes some people may not like it but oh well. We will shock the world, beating Bama, winning the west and winning the National Championship. Ill give 1 loss because we do have such a tough schedule

Oh and just for the heck of it, in Basketball we will improve alot. And not only make the tournament, but make the sweet 16 as next year's cinderella story.

Thats right, i said it, book it.

From your keyboard to God's ear. If this is true, it'll help a lot. I'm still worried about the secondary, too, but if our DL is that good, I'll feel good about the season.
