Is he starting every game at Roma? Haven't been keeping up this year. He was too conservative with some of his passes tonight. I know he didn't want to risk turnovers in midfield, but passing to Edu in a crowd is going to lead to turnovers, might as well have some more risky passes

I need to watch the game again but Bradley was being conservative but I think that was the plan. I think Edu was okay but Jermaine Jones has been in good form lately, he would have been a good addition to the team today.

i vaguely remember hearing the commentators say that he has recently found himself spending more time on the bench for roma.

No, he's not starting all that often however he's still getting minutes. He's a bit unfortunate that the new manager Andreazzoli prefers a 3-4-1-2 formation so that's one less MF position where he could play.
Andreazzoli has moved Pjanic back to a deep lying playmaker position with De Rossi at holding mid flanked by 2 wingbacks. Michael has only started when one of those two weren't available or has come on for Pjanic to shore up the defense with a lead recently.
Concerning the comments about him being world class: it depends on what one means by world class:
He's not world class in terms of being one of the top 20 at his position but he is an integral part of a club that's among the top 20 most talented in the world and that's not too shabby.
