I understand that they are not a 16 seed, but this is only their 2nd year of existence essentially. If they're not the biggest, then they've gotta be right up there....

Not yet, they need to go to Elite 8 or Final 4 IMO

First 15 seed to advance to the Sweet 16...

I'd think that George Mason a few years back (making it to the Final 4 the same year as LSU) was probably the biggest.

If they can make it to the Eite 8 then I'd put them over 2006 George Mason

If they beat Florida they are up there for it.

But Florida handles them.

Keep in mind the teams seeded better than this team:

Northwestern St.
Montana (scored 34 points)
Valpo
SDSU
NMSU
Boise St.
Akron (scored 42 points)

yeah, I didn't even realize that. That has to make them #1, regardless of GM

Isn't this fgcu's 2nd year of eligibility?

They lost twice by a total of 19 points to 12-18 Lipscomb.

While I would like to say my law school alma mater, George Mason, I think they were an 11 seed in 2006. Fla.GC is a 15. So, getting to the Sweet 16 makes them close. If they get to the Elite Eight, I think they are a bigger Cinderella than Geo. Mason.

Seems like they're a team that plays to the level of their opponent. They beat Miami and Georgetown who are Top 10 teams, but lose to Lipscomb and other scrubs.

If they go Elite 8 it's not debatable. Lose in Sweet 16 and people will still say GM. They need 1 more win.

George mason was an 11 seed and an 11 seed had been to the final four before. A 15 seed has mever been to the sweet 16 until now. Plus this school is brand new.
