Hunting/Fishing Camers. Kodak Playsport vs. GoPro and others

Im looking for camera options for the outdoors. Id like to film my hunts and fishing trips. The gopro seems to be awesome for fishing, but the fact that you cant zoom makes any deer hunting videos look like youre shooting at 500 yards.
any suggestions?
here is a side by side video with each one mounted on a bow

What is the price difference between the Kodak and gopro in that video?

My only complaint about the Go Pro is as you stated. Here's a vid I shot Sunday. I'm casting to the point on the left, but it appears in the video as if there's no possible way I can cast that far, it seems so far away.

I have it set on that setting, because I want to make sure I can pick up a lot of activity, but I need to see if there's a setting that will bring it in closer. After a few videos, it's obvious that on this setting, you can't really see the blow ups out that far anyway, so might as well change it.

that video is a couple of years old and using the oldest gopro, not sure about the kodak.
the new gopro with 12mp should allow you to zoom in during editing and get a decent shot, or does it not work like that?

the picture quality is great on the GoPro, but its just not great for hunting

I've got the cheapest GoPro there is. The Hero Naked. I know there's additional settings, but no, it isn't easy to adjust. A friend of mine has a newer one that he controls with his Iphone, and even uses the Iphone as a viewfinder.

Here is a video we filmed with just a go pro I think there incredible . There are plenty of functions to zoom, time lapse, all kind of stuff. We filmed several shows that are on the sportsman's channel and used footage from the go pro.

Your video is great, But I still haven't seen any good GoPro hunting videos. There are a ton of great fishing vids, and that's why I like it. I deer hunt A LOT and would like to use it then too
