Nutella vs JIF vs others

First of all nutella is the shizniz. I saw JIF has a similar product and I was wondering how that compared.
I'm on a no/low carb diet so can't eat them, otherwise I would just go try myself.

Just to throw a monkey wrench into the mix this thought. Cashew butter will make you slap your momma even if she is dead.

I lived off small packs of Justin's products on the AT.

I had to get on my phone to see that pic. I hate work filters.
I almost got a pack of that last night to try. Is that any good?

Haven't seen that.

US Nutella is too oily...the Justin's stuff is nice, but needs a little more sugar in it (to my taste).
The absolute best is Baratti & Milano's crema nocciola: LINK

How in the hell did you find that? Did you go to Italy and have that or something?

I thought the jif was hazelnut

It is definitely a far denser product than PB.

Yes, I first had it in Italy, but it's available via mail order here in the US. There are dozens of brands of hazelnut spread in Italy, and Nutella is pretty low on the quality spectrum. The better crema nocciola brands have a higher percentage of nuts. Barratti brand has small bits of crunchy hazelnuts in the spread--about the same texture as crunchy peanut butter. It makes a damn good filling for sandwich cookies or thumbprint cookies.

The Whole Foods in Metairie will grind cashew butter for you. It is sublime. The uptown Whole Foods does not. I am not sure about the Baton Rouge location. It is a game changer for sure.

Ever tried the Skippy Natural 1/3 sugar/sodium? Tastes exactly the same.

So much out there besides peanut butter!
I can buy cashew butter and almond butter (crunchy almond butter will change your life) at my Kroger. They're usually with the natural foods/health foods/asian foods in some different section than the peanut butter.
My mom buys Biscoff Spread. It's got no redeeming health values, just cookies and stuff ground up. But the stuff is delicious. Friend of ours has a nut allergy and uses it as a replacement sometimes, too.
