I seriously doubt that.

No sir, I would guess some sort of firearms instructor? Which if so, would be one hell of a coincidence.

Firing pin indicator and chamber indicator are two different things. Firing pin indicator can be engaged/disengaged without a round in the chamber.

I heard it on XDtalk.com. Not sure how true/common it is, though.

I wasn't calling you out. I was backing you up.

He does need a lecture. It was an idiotic move that makes us all look bad. This is a very important time to represent the gun owning community well.

This was negligent discharge. He did something stupid and it was not the gun's fault.

Sorry, I had to drop off yesterday. My wife and kids left for Chicago and loaded up luggage and left in the morning. About ten mins after getting home from work I did this stupid thing. My neighbor thought my wife and kids had left me and I offed myself. No cops called. I was so mad at myself about this. I am very proficient with firearms and have never had an incident.

Son and team finally coming back from Colombia. They lost one to a riverside IED and their mission was cut short.

Uh, I have seen him go thru 8000 rds in a minute flat on the mini gun. He and his crew fire around 120,000 a week just on the minis.

LOL...that's damn near cheating.
120,000 rounds a week....I don't know if I could shoot that in my lifetime.

So, that is 2 boxes of bullets (100 rounds)a week for 23 years...and pretty funny about the neighbor's reaction.

I had a friend of mine AD a rifle inside a pickup truck once.
It was a surreal moment.
BAM
Me- "tell me that didn't just happen."
Him- "It didn't happen."
Me- "Ok, good."

If he reads the OB, he will know who I am....

My buddy just finished his new house. I mean like moved in the week before. I dry fired (or so I thought) my pmr 30 into his brand new hard wood floors. We freaked the frick out. His wife came screaming down the hall and he told her I shot a blank like they do at a track meet. She believed it.

Next Day: Honey, I think an area rug in here would really tie the room together.

The truck was still running. We look at each other and kind of nodded...a what the hell, it is just a hole in the floorboard look at each other. Said frick It, we have had enough fun for today. I put it in "D" and watched the Tachometer wind up with no go. We get out and look on the ground ATF is bleeding out a nasty red. It was like the truck was bleeding out. Torque Converter...
