There are apps named Eat Rome and Eat Florence written by Elizabeth Minchilli, an expat who has lived in Italy most of her life. She writes a great blog - www.elizabethminchilliinrome.com in addition to writing for NYT and food mags. The apps are kind of like a curated Urbanspoon.

For a fee, she will prepare a dining itinerary for you. You tell her what part of the city you will touring each day and she gives you a list for coffee, lunch, snack, cocktails, dinner and gelato. Every rec was great and it was nice to have great choices in the area we were in.

She also does food tours of Rome. Really nice, one of the high points of our trip.

Has anyone tried Antico Arco? The menu looks great and it was recommended by a guide that my fiance' spoke to.
